The descendants of Jacob and David led to Jesus, our King. Being part of Jesus’ Kingdom requires being a faithful citizen of Christ.

My passion for the Lord and what I think is right has lead me to this postion today, converting form a very conservative Protestant Church to the one true Holy Catholic Church. I will be documenting my experiences learning and experiencing the new traditions and teachings that are being introduced to me.

I plan to share these so that any new converts or those who are looking for a starting point can join me in enriching the daily lives of our families and learning more about our faith.

Personal

My name is E.L. Wilson, I was a member of the Church of Christ; a non-denominational group that bases their faith and practices off of the Bible alone, accepting it in its entirety as the literal inspired word of God. My journey in faith began as a child. I grew up in the Church of Christ, and at the age of 14 decided to devote my life to God through baptism accepting the responsibility of becoming a Christian.

Formerly I would base my faith in God according to my interpretation of Gods Word. I did not subscribe to a single denominational lense, rather I allowed my faith to be my own, in sequence with my understanding and my values.

Since my conversion of heart I have been struggling with the reality that my faith is not my own, rather there is a set in stone way to properly interpret and implement the gospel into our lives. The Church is the structure that I was missing from having a united faith with others, instead of accepting others for their ideas or hating others because of their ideas whist being of the same faith and “denomination.” Jesus’ wish for His Church was for it to be united and this I find in the Catholic Church, the true Church of Christ.
